Joseph Pistorius,
PhD., LPC-SA, NCC

I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in relationship therapy and individual counseling. My counseling approach is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I provide a safe space where couples can explore their concerns, gain insight, and work towards building healthier, more fulfilling relationships. We will work collaboratively to identify and reframe negative cycles of interaction, fostering greater emotional connection and intimacy.

In addition, I provide individual therapy to address a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress management, career transitions, and coping with loss. I offer a non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences while working collaboratively to develop coping strategies and achieve your personal goals.

Together, we'll navigate through your concerns, unraveling the knots that hinder your growth. Whether you're struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, or relationships, I'm here to work with you. Your story matters, and I'm committed to helping you rewrite it into one of resilience and empowerment. Take the first step towards change and reach out today.

Individuals & Couples

Kristin Ruffino Lang, M.S., PLPC, NCC

As a provisionally licensed therapist, I am dedicated to creating an environment that feels welcoming and supportive to all who come through my door. I understand that seeking therapy can be a difficult decision, so I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their inner thoughts and emotions. My approach to therapy is client-centered, which means I prioritize the unique needs, values and goals of each individual and couple that I work with. I integrate a variety of evidence-based techniques and interventions to help clients work through difficult challenges to achieve greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and improved communication.

I earned a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans in 2023. I currently work with individuals and couples, ages 14 and older. Some of my specialized areas of focus are anxiety, depression, relationship and marital concerns, self-esteem and confidence building, and life transitions. Prior to pursuing my career as a counselor, I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southeastern Louisiana University. Being a lifelong resident of the Northshore, I’ve grown up with a deep appreciation for the rich history, traditions, and community spirit that make this area so special. This sense of place has shaped my approach to therapy, informing my ability to understand and support the individuals and families who call the Northshore home.

Whether you are seeking therapy for relationship issues, stress, anxiety, depression or simply need support for life’s ups and downs, my goal is to be a compassionate and effective guide on your journey towards greater well-being.
